My name is Artis Slade. I have been incarcerated for over 16 1/2 years. I was sentenced to 292 months (24 years, 8 months). I have 4 kids and 6 grandkids. I was arrested when my two youngest was 5 and 7 (about to turn 8), they are now 23 and 25 years old. Since being incarcerated I have been using my time instead of doing y time. By taking numerous classes and vocational trade courses. I can’t wait to return home and at least spend time and enjoy my grandkids.
