Freedom Grow’s 4/20 Trip to Washington, D.C. | Freedom Grow Forever

Freedom Grow’s 4/20 Trip to Washington, D.C.

This past 4/20, Freedom Grow brought our mission to the heart of the nation—Washington, D.C.—to advocate for justice and raise awareness about cannabis prisoners. The highlight of our trip was participating in a powerful candlelight vigil in front of the White House, where we honored those still incarcerated for cannabis. The vigil was a poignant reminder of the lives impacted by prohibition and the urgent need for reform.

Throughout the trip, we joined forces with advocates, lawmakers, and directly impacted individuals to push for clemency, cannabis reform, and stronger reentry programs. We shared the personal stories of those on our outreach list, putting a human face to the ongoing injustices faced by cannabis prisoners and their families.

In addition to the vigil, we engaged in meetings with policymakers and participated in events aimed at amplifying the voices of those still behind bars. It was a powerful experience, reinforcing the importance of our collective fight for justice.

The candlelight vigil was especially moving, symbolizing hope and unity in the fight for freedom. Standing together with others who share our mission, we recommitted to the promise that no one should be in prison for cannabis.

Freedom Grow will continue to advocate until we see real change. Thank you for supporting our efforts to Bring Light to Dark Cells and fight for a brighter future.
