Freedom Grow Racing – Breaking Barriers on the Track

Freedom Grow is thrilled to enter our second year in the professional drag racing community, making history once again as the first fully cannabis-sponsored race car to compete in the Professional Drag Racing Association (PDRA). What began last year as a groundbreaking initiative has returned for 2025, continuing our mission to raise awareness about cannabis prisoners and expand our advocacy through the powerful and visible world of motorsports.

 Our Car, Our Mission

Our race car, a 2000-horsepower nitrous-powered GTO – blazes through the eighth-mile in just 4 seconds. This high-performance machine isn’t just about speed; it’s about sending a message: that cannabis prisoners are not forgotten, and justice must move as fast as we do.

In 2024, our debut season, we proudly competed in:

• August 1–3: Martin, MI (PDRA – Northern Nationals)

• August 18–20: Bristol, TN (PDRA – Thunder Valley Throwdown)

• October 3–5: Benson, NC (PDRA – DragWars)

• October 18–20: Richmond, VA (PDRA – World Finals)

• December 5–8: Winner’s Circle – 53rd Snowbird Outlaw Nationals, Bradenton Motorsports Park, FL

This bold initiative was made possible thanks to Chris Holdolf of C&C Pumping, who generously donated the car sponsorships to Freedom Grow, and Randy Lanier, racing legend and FG board member, who brought this vision to life and continues to lead the way.

• September 11–13 – DragWars, GALOT Motorsports Park, Benson, NC

• October 2–5 – Brian Olson Memorial World Finals, Virginia Motorsports Park, Dinwiddie, VA

 Racing with Purpose

At Freedom Grow, our Wish List is more than a name, it’s a lifeline. It’s where we record book requests, commissary support, and family outreach needs from people behind bars. Thanks to sponsors like you, our Wish Coordinator, Mitzi, is able to go in and grant these “wishes”, bringing light, dignity, and support to those who’ve been left in the shadows.

Through our racing sponsorships, we’ve been able to:

• Fulfill hundreds of Wish List requests

• Provide emergency commissary funds

• Support people transitioning home with re-entry grants

• Host educational outreach booths at events nationwide

• Fund the creation of this very website

The PDRA has welcomed Freedom Grow with open arms, allowing cannabis vendors at their Michigan event and embracing our message of family, freedom, and second chances.
