Hello my name is Harold Klumpp and I have been a P.O.W. in the Federal Prison System(B.O.P) for over 21 years.

The B.O.P is understaffed, so there is no programming or training to prepare you for work on the outside. It was made worse when COVID 19 hit. For two and a half years, we were locked down and confined to the housing unit. Which means that we were unable to get any physical activity or even go outside.

With marijuana being legal in most states at this point, it is hard to watch multimillion dollar companies get rich doing exactly what I did. What I am guilty of is being ahead of my time and that my crime was victimless.

In closing, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me during my sentence. I have received numerous letters from individuals I have never met. Letters like that have been truly touching when you receive them out of the blue. In addition to letters, I have even received money on my commissary which has helped me get by while in the B.O.P.
