Freedom Grow’s 2026 Holiday Drive 

The holidays are supposed to be a time of family, connection, and giving. But for families separated by cannabis incarceration, this season can be an especially painful reminder of the person who is missing.

This year, Freedom Grow is once again coming together to support both cannabis prisoners and their children through our annual Holiday Drive.

 For the children, we are raising funds to provide gift cards on behalf of their incarcerated parent. Freedom Grow serves as the bridge, helping a mother or father behind bars still participate in the holidays and give something special to their child, even when they cannot be there in person.

For a child spending another holiday without their mom or dad at home, receiving a gift from their missing parent can mean so much more than what is inside the envelope. It is a reminder that Mom or Dad is still thinking about them, still loving them, and still wants to be part of their holiday.

Freedom Grow is honored to help make that connection possible. While these gifts carry the love of their incarcerated parent, they also let these children and families know that there is a community standing beside them, caring about them, and remembering the sacrifices they are making too.

 For the cannabis prisoners, we are raising funds for holiday commissary. Commissary funds can help someone behind bars purchase food, toiletries, correspondence supplies, and other everyday necessities that can make an enormous difference in an environment where choices and comforts are extremely limited.

But this drive is about more than gift cards and commissary.

It is about human connection.

Every gift to a child says, Mom or Dad is still here, still thinking of you, and still sending their love.

Every commissary deposit says to a prisoner, You have not been forgotten.

And every donation tells a family separated by incarceration that there are people on the outside who see them, care about what they are going through, and are standing beside them.

This holiday season, we are asking our friends, supporters, the cannabis community, and anyone who believes in compassion to help us make the holidays a little brighter for these families.
