I pray for wisdom, enlightenment, love, and inner peace to reign in your heart; that your past hurts, regrets, and trauma dissipate into thin air; that the Spirit of the Universe grant you favor and grace. I pray for the Creator to broaden your life-opportunities and turn them into blessings; that love will always be your guiding light when making important decisions. I pray for your uniqueness to shine forth with brightness; for the Spirit to empower you with faith, perseverance, hope, and self-confidence as you tackle the days ahead with boldness. Edwin Rubis is serving his 24th year of a 40-year sentence in federal prison. As a victim of the war on drugs, he’s able to share with you his unique perspective on his experiences of the ups and downs of life behind bars. Born in El Salvador, and raised in Texas, Edwin has spent half of his life in prison and has figured out how to overcome many of the trappings of prison life.
